Trip prep, sunsets, and winter a coming

All things in prep mode now. Just a matter of days before the wildly long drive to Naples. Slightly crazed packing, summer clothing for Florida weather, winter clothing for holidays up north, golf clubs and attire, beach stuff,  my painting supplies (I'm taking another class from my favorite teacher Patty),and of course Mark is including a fishing rod - very different than fly fishing for trout, but still worth the effort - bass and others (I'm not so great on species name).
Outdoor furniture coming in, very tall snowpoles out to mark driveway, well, etc. Please, please mother nature send us normal snowfall (which is a lot here).

this is normally underwater - low, low, low
Nice drive up Taylor ending at the reservoir. Anyone who had been here this summer knows the awful construction and delays going on if you dared to travel that way. It's paved! Still some remnants of construction going on with a flag man still in place, but clearly almost done. Thought the reservoir would be iced over but not yet, and the hogtrough had the smallest amount of people we've ever seen.

Coyote sightings nearly every day, on our property and anywhere we go. Beautiful red fox sightings as well. Thinking its harder to find food at the moment with small rodents going into their semi dormant state for the winter.

crazy lighting - these are unretouched!
Fantastic sunsets most days - its the time of year.

Went to dinner at Twisted Fork - my birthday dinner actually. Nice to have a good choice since most CB restaurants are closed for off season. The only Asian Fusion restaurant in Gunnison - very nice.

Animals things, sadly no photos. We saw 4 rabbits in different places on our road coming back from dinner last night. One, half had turned white for the winter and there's NO SNOW, so easy pickins' for our fox and coyote, and two, why were they on our dirt roads at all? Nothing to eat there...
And, we have a tiny mouse, or shrew, or many, although we've only seen one around the fireplace. Actually, Tiffany saw it, without knowing what it was when Penny and Tiffany were visiting a few weeks ago. So poison is out and traps in place tonight. Love, love all the wildlife, just not in the house...
