Wedding festivities and 4th of July

I'm just coming up for air after a non-stop 9 days of company, wedding, parties, and all around fun. This will be part one of two - way too much for one post.

Jules and Layla meeting for the first time.
The kids table
Heli, Layla, and Chase - our Farmington, NM family
Lots of pre wedding activities including gatherings at our house where cousins met for the first time and others reconnected after years. That's part of the fun of weddings.

Aunt Nancy, and cousins - Tiffany,Krissy, Anna, and Katie -fun to see
Ladies night out for Krissy the night before the big event -Elevation hotel at Mt. CB.Outside s'mores activity in between the rains. Days of rain wildly unusual for our area that caused a bit of anxiety over the impending outdoor ceremony. A small miracle: it stopped long enough for Krissy and Calvin to get married!

Ladies breakfast for Krissy on her special day. I'm telling you, we were non-stop fun!

Could there be a more beautiful place for a wedding?
happy parents of the bride
Ahhh, Penny, Jules, and Layla - now best buds
And the rain came down but we were dry in the tent
And the trio waits for the dancing to begin
Bride and Groom dance first!

reception games
Of course there's a random horse showing up at the wedding - only in Crested Butte!
Finally the major event, the reason we all came from far and wide. Krissy and Calvin getting hitched. Such a sweet darling couple. Wishing you great joy and happiness in the future. And we had a blast!

On to 4th of July.

Katie!
And home we go
Of course we went to the infamous CB parade. Nothing like it - the wild and bizarre. Many thousands of people show up for this in a town of 1200. Traaaaffic for sure.

Ribs, corn, beans, and blueberry pie of course
Be back with part two of the great adventure.
