Enjoying the big and the small spaces, and the last few weeks of glorious summer.
Fun times with Lisa and Charles on a quick weekend visit over from Santa Fe. River Light Art Gallery who represents Lisa in Crested Butte, was participating in an art walk. Gotta see and talk to the people.

Yeah, my great selfie skills |
We took advantage of being in town to have a fun dinner at Coal Creek Grill sitting outside. We were quite close to the famous tree where a bear had been perched a couple weeks before.

And superwoman Lisa climbing over the caves |
A little hiking and a little jeeping rounded out the weekend. It's so great they're only 5 hours away.

The famous "W" for WSCU - classes start in less than two weeks |

Our neighbors down Ohio Cr. |
Busyness in the valley. All things marching towards the end of summer. Blah, I say, although fall is drop dead gorgeous here too.

one of two elk spotted on my walk this morning |
Ohh, the animals. Quite a bit of activity lately, starting with the moose sighting (see last post). Then our nearest neighbor's guests spotted a baby bear cub in the field below their deck. No one has seen it again or, more importantly, the mama. Coyotes are
very active howling at night, "my" great horned owl "hoo hoo" hooing through the black shadowed woods, and now a couple of elk trotting around Star Mt.
The longest Mark summer absence is marching by. Half way through! And I'm now zipping over Santa Fe in a few days for a little r & r which will leave virtually no time before Mark is back. And Heather is coming for a week visit then too. Yippee!
