All things snowy and wonderful

Snow totals from the storm: 20 inches at our house, 32 up at the mountain. A happy big one yessir. It required a village to open up the driveway and keep the deck clear. Really pretty.

Mark in the wilderness, oops, that's just our driveway

We intended to cross country ski at our original track, the one where we look sooo good, but it had not been plowed. We think they got pulled away to track the streets of CB for the 28th annual Alley Loop (costumed cross country races) We went there to watch instead. The usual Crested Butte crazy - FUN.

The town just dances when the snow drops. Gotta love it. Recognize the plaza where the hat store is? And, a lunch at Ryce was a fitting finish.

More wildlife out and about. More big horn outside Almont and a small herd of elk in chest deep snow heading somewhere.

Tried breaking a new snowshoe trail with the old obliterated in our woods yesterday. I was sinking to thigh deep in some places - no kidding. Such slow progress only made it halfway round, more today. Glutton for punishment I think.

Off to a SuperBowl gathering - Go BRONCOS!
